Mackay
State High School
together with Football Queensland have developed a course of study that
will support players with their vocational aspirations. The Football
Academy is designed to provide students with identifiable potential in the
sport the opportunity to further develop their skills and use the program to
access pathways to careers in sport within our supportive school environment.
The program is open to boys
and girls.
The Football Academy offers a range of opportunities for the future. These include:
Participation in competition throughout Australia and Internationally
Tertiary studies in Leisure, Sport and Recreation
Tertiary studies in Human Movement and Physical Education
Football Coaching
Football Refereeing
Managerial Positions
Selection to the Australian Institute of Sport
