Mackay State High School is proud to offer a wide variety of subjects and programs. As well as the core curriculum offerings, in all year levels, Mackay State High School also offers a range of Excellence programs in a range of Sporting, Arts and Academic fields. In year 7 and 8 students will have the opportunity to engage in all Key Learning Areas of the Australian Curriculum including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities (History, Geography, Economics and Business, Civics and Citizenship), Technologies (Digital and Design), Health and Physical Education and the Arts (Visual and Performing). In year 9 and 10, students will engage in English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities as well as choosing electives from the Technologies, Arts or HPE fields. Further details can be found on our Subject Selection page.
