The STEM Big Day Out program allows students to work alongside industry professionals to compete resource related STEM activities requiring teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.
The day had four sessions, and a competition element for each activity, culminating with an overall group champion at the end of the day. The four sessions were: Pulleys for Productivity, Roaming Robots, Treasures of the Earth and Sample Selector. Mackay SHS was overall champion for the day!
