38 hours per week plus ADO

Applications are invited for the position of Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities OO2/OO3 at Mackay State High School.

We are seeking a welcoming, efficient and well-organised Schools Officer to join our current operations team. 

As one of our two Schools Officers, you will have the skills, knowledge and initiative to successfully undertake the tasks outlined in the Role Description for Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities (Generic).  Experience in Horticulture, grounds care, general maintenance work, operation of machinery and workplace health and safety is highly desirable.  Your skills and knowledge will enable you to contribute to the effective and efficient grounds and facility management of the school, where productive and welcoming relationships with all colleagues and members of the community is a high priority.

How you will be assessed
Applications should include:
·         a one page covering letter generally addressing:
 
o    your organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks;
 
o    your strong communication skills; and
 
o    the skills and experience you can bring to the role.
 
·         a current resume with the contact details of two referees, one being your current supervisor.
 
·         a two page response to the 5 key capabilities outlined in the relevant role description document describing your experience, knowledge and skills that you will bring to the role.
 
·         the successful applicant will be required to undergo a mandatory criminal history check as part of employment screening.
